I run Rest classes both online and in person, one to one sessions, face to face rest retreats and will soon be offering for sale my home rest kits/boxes. Life is split between running my business, general day to day living and home educating two children.

My first classes I attended was actually a full 3 day, back to back workshop from home, practising Yoga Nidra online with live teachers. During my first session I felt so incredibly tired I didn’t think I would ever ‘recover’ and get back to ‘normality’ again, then by 2 hours in I was fully embracing the rest and having the most amazing internal clarity I had ever experienced in my life and realised I never wanted to go back to what I thought was ‘normal’ as it would never be the same again.

The fact that I didn't have to physically do anything, was a such a refreshing relief, there was no way of doing it wrong and there was no intended outcome, just to be and allow myself to be guided by someone else, this was almost magical. Other practises I'd tried, still involved me to be actively awake and doing, or practises like meditation were not distracting enough for my busy brain. Yoga Nidra was unique, in that I could be fully still, warm and cosy, receive the benefits of a nap, without actually sleeping.
